48th Pastoral Anniversary and
Retirement Celebration honoring
Dr. Warren H. Stewart, Sr.
A Pastor's Journey:
Soaring on Faith, Rising for Justice, Empowering Generations

Rising for justice, Pastor Stewart has never been one to stand on the sidelines. From fighting against apartheid in South Africa to fighting against racial injustice, economic inequity, and educational disparities here at home, and of course, leading Arizona’s historic victory for a Martin Luther King, Jr./Civil Rights Day by a vote of the people in November 1992.
Empowering generations, he has mentored leaders, strengthened communities, and inspired a movement that will serve as the foundation of his pastoral legacy. His impact is not just in the history books—it lives on in the people and principles he has poured into for nearly five decades.
As we honor Pastor Stewart’s legacy, we recognize that his work is not ending—it is ascending. His vision, like the eagle, continues to rise, carrying forward a mission of faith, justice, and empowerment that will endure for generations to come.
For 48 years, Dr. Warren H. Stewart, Sr. has been a visionary leader, a fearless advocate for justice, and a guiding force in the faith community. Like the eagle, his leadership has been marked by strength, resilience, and the ability to see beyond the present—soaring above challenges and charting a path toward justice and liberation for all.
Soaring on faith, Pastor Stewart has remained steadfast in his belief that the Gospel is more than words—it is a call to action. His ministry has embodied the connection between evangelism and emancipation, ensuring that people experience not only spiritual salvation but the fullness of life that God intends for them.
